It’s no secret that Christina Aguilera gained weight, and after her appearance at the 2012 American Music Awards Sunday, everyone is up in arms about the outfits she chose to wear on her fuller figure.
Twitter, a vicious animal at times, had tons of people poking fun at Aguilera’s weight gain during the show, but many fans thought she still looked amazing. Including Lance Bass, who tweeted: “New hairstyle and looking gorgeous! Christina Aguilera aka Legendtina Godulara!”
Gossip blogs also had a heyday with Aguilera’s curves, some for, some against. The Huffington Post named her one of the Worst Dressed of the 2012 AMAs, while MTV boasted the singer had the most sizzling performance of the night.

Christina Aguilera has a new fragrance, Royal Desire, and the promo for it features a severely photoshopped version of Aguilera that would scare ghosts and goblins.
A missing hip, a Silly Putty wrist, and obviously her entire body size and shape is nowhere near those proportions these days. Christina claims to be comfortable with her curves these days, saying she embraces her womanhood. But if she really did, why wouldn’t she insist on the photo being a bit more realistic? Because there would be ‘fat’ backlash if she did? I think women around the country might actually find it refreshing if she had.
In other Aguilera news, the singer blasted bloggers in a recent Q&A. The Hollywood Reporter was there and says it went something like this:
“I don’t read blogs. It’s just God-knows-who in Buttf**k wherever writing hate shit. You can’t take it seriously. I’m sure you’ve all been hated on at some point by buttf**k people.”
Sure, we all have, but we know she’s done her share of hating in the past as well. But as she puts it, “It’s hard being such a powerful woman in the business.”
